2025 Annual Report - Arvada Economic Development Association

2025

Annual Report

As President of the 2025 AEDA Board of Directors, I have the good fortune of working with a wonderful AEDA City staff, and a group of outstanding & dedicated Board & Committee members. In looking back at 2025, AEDA was integral in facilitating over $12 Million in capital investment, helping connect businesses to lenders like the Colorado Enterprise Fund, and walking alongside new businesses getting started within our City including the nine featured below. The Staff worked relentlessly to gather almost 400 business surveys, increase the E-newsletters audience and facilitate 41 email campaigns along with increasing our social media impact.

Within the broader community, AEDA engaged with Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) on the first Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The Staff and Retention committee launched 2 Industry Roundtables in Beverage Manufacturing and Retail. Additionally, AEDA continues to work with 30 strategic partners including supporting the Greater Arvada Chamber's BOLD initiative.

As President I am looking forward to 2026 and the continuance of working with the board and staff on one of the Cities and City Council’s top initiatives of strategic growth in creating additional economic development and keeping local business within our great City.

Paul Duncan, Pie Engineering

2025 AEDA Board President

STRATEGIC PLANS

Each year, the AEDA Board of Directors adopts an Annual Strategic Plan and targeted work plans in alignment with a larger six-year Strategic Plan. These impact-driven plans help guide AEDA's decisions based on data related to three program objectives, including Economic Impact, Customer & Community Impact, and Organizational Impact. This information allows staff to "tell the story" of how the results of AEDA's efforts support its mission. Additionally, annual resident surveys and biennial business surveys are used to gather valuable feedback and inform programming.
