Arvada Marketplace Redevelopment Slated to Finish by End of Year

Implemented by the shopping center’s management company, Pine Tree, LLC, the nearly $8 million redevelopment and revitalization of the western section of Arvada Marketplace is well under way and nearing completion. Located at the intersection of Wadsworth and West 51nd Avenue, Arvada Marketplace was acquired by Pine Tree in August 2015 with expectations to renovate portions of the center to increase foot-traffic, offer unique experiences, and enhance the center’s aesthetic appeal. Renovation construction began in the summer of 2016.

Arvada Marketplace’s western-most shopping area will see the most dramatic improvement with the former building having been split into several sections to feature new restaurant tenants, outdoor seating, and a more pedestrian-friendly atmosphere. Restaurant additions to the new “West Shops” space will include Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, First Watch Daytime Café, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Newk’s Eatery, and Yellowbelly Natural Chicken. Bad Daddy’s, Newk’s, Menchie’s, and Costa Vida are currently expected to open by the end of September. Yellowbelly and First Watch are currently expected to open by the end of 2017.

In addition to the center’s updated pylon signage, outdoor seating areas, sidewalks, and other improvements, the vacant former Sports Authority space has also been repurposed to welcome two major national retailers: Michaels and Ulta Beauty. Michaels is currently expected to open its doors in late September, while Ulta Beauty is scheduled to open in November.

To celebrate the shopping center’s revitalization, Pine Tree currently plans to host a Grand Re-Opening event in October, welcoming the community to experience Arvada Marketplace’s new food choices, live music, games, contests, and more family-friendly activities.
