Arvada extends Emergency Declaration to April 30; facilities closure to April 26

In alignment with the State of Colorado’s extension of the Stay-At-Home Public Health Order, the City of Arvada has extended the closure of its facilities through April 26. In addition, on April 6, the Arvada City Council extended the City’s Emergency Declaration through April 30.

On April 3, Governor Polis announced a statewide recommendation that everyone wear non-medical, cloth/fabric face covering when leaving their home. The City is working to fully comply with this recommendation, acquiring cloth masks and face coverings for all employees, with a priority given to securing masks for public safety and other public-facing members of the team.

These and other ongoing actions continue to be part of the City’s ongoing response to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). More information about the City’s response to COVID-19 is available at www.arvada.org/COVID-19.

The City’s focus remains the health and wellbeing of residents and members of the City team, and continuing to deliver core services to the community. The City also continues to work with health officials and other local municipalities to determine the next level response to the virus, consistent with recommendations from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
