Arvada Economic Development Association Opens Exterior Improvement Grant Application

February 26, 2024—The Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) is taking applications for the AEDA Exterior Improvement Grant, a grant designed to help City of Arvada business and property owners improve the external appearance of their commercial properties. This annual 50/50 matching grant program, which began in 2016, leverages AEDA funds and private sector investment to achieve specific goals which include:

Enhance the appearance of commercial properties within the Arvada community
Assist existing Arvada businesses with capital improvements
Encourage private sector investment
Create goodwill in the Arvada community

The AEDA Board of Directors approved funding for the matching grant program in early February and the application period will be open from February 26 through March 26, 2024. Property owners and/or businesses are eligible for up to a $15,000 maximum 50/50 matching grant per property.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the AEDA Exterior Improvement Grant opportunity to our local business community,” said Iza Petrykowska, Executive Director of AEDA.

“It’s amazing to see how the grant funds are used to really enhance the exterior appearance of commercial property within Arvada. Our goal is to help businesses succeed and thrive here in the community and the Exterior Improvement Grant helps businesses do just that,” she continued.
