City of Arvada designated as one of the Denver Post’s 2021 Top Workplaces
For a fourth time, the City of Arvada has been named a top workplace by the Denver Post. The City’s designation as a top workplace means it is among the top 150 organizations of the more than 80,000 that participated this year.
The award recognizes overall engagement as determined by an anonymous internal employee survey, which the City conducts every three years. A key takeaway from the survey is that the City’s overall employee engagement rate increased by nine percent from the 2017 survey to 55 percent in 2020.
Developing and retaining an engaged workforce and maintaining a top workplace plays an important role in delivering outstanding service to the Arvada community.
“We are proud to be recognized as a top workplace,” said Arvada City Manager Mark Deven. “It is an indication that we are maintaining a high-performing, engaged team to help us provide the highest levels of service to our community.”
Arvada was also named a Denver Post Top Workplace in 2012, 2015 and 2018. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection, just to name a few.
“It is particularly important to note that we achieved this result during the pandemic,” said Deven. “We appreciate everything our team has done to stay connected and engaged during an unprecedented time.”
