Arvada Economic Development Association Reaccredited by the International Economic Development Council
August 1, 2024—The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), based in Washington D.C., recently announced that the Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) has once again been recognized as one of 81 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO). Originally accredited in October of 2013, AEDA is the only economic development organization accredited by IEDC in the state of Colorado.
“The Arvada Economic Development Association displays the professionalism, commitment, and technical expertise that is deserving of this honor,” said Nathan Ohle, IEDC President and CEO.
The AEDO program is a comprehensive peer review process that measures economic development organizations against commonly held standards in the profession. The program consists of two phases including a documentation review and an onsite visit. Each phase is designed to evaluate information about the structure, organization, funding, program, and staff of the candidate economic development organization.
Earning the AEDO accreditation tells the Arvada business community and prospects that AEDA attained a measure of excellence assuring that their trust is well placed and their business is in good hands.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be reaccredited by the International Economic Development Council,” said Iza Petrykowska, Executive Director of AEDA.
“Our primary goal is to help Arvada businesses thrive and this reaccreditation supports the case that we continue to utilize best practices when attracting new businesses while maintaining and supporting our existing businesses,” she continued.
